Joe (pictured on the right) and Charlie (pictured on the left), two brothers with diverse backgrounds in real estate and coaching, founded Joe Buys Land to offer a simple, honest, and caring way for people to sell their land. Guided by faith and a commitment to service, we’re here to make the process easy and build lasting relationships.

The Team
Joejessie Velazquez - Founder
Joe is the older brother, the visionary and the driving force behind our real estate endeavors. After excelling in college football, Joe transitioned into day trading and quickly became a successful entrepreneur.
With over 10 years of experience in real estate and a successful career as a land investor, he decided to take his expertise and start Joe Buys Land.
Joe is an expert in land buying, acquisitions, and real estate investment, ensuring the company is always moving forward with innovative ideas and solutions for both buyers and sellers.
Charlie Velazquez - Co-Founder
Charlie, the younger brother, has always had a passion for mentorship and building strong cultures. After playing college basketball, Charlie went on to become a professional basketball skill trainer.
With over 7 years of experience in coaching and developing players, Charlie brings his expertise in team building, culture development, and relationship management to Joe Buys Land.
As the “coach” behind the company, Charlie ensures our daily operations run smoothly and that we stay true to our core values of “Love, Serve, Care.”
Anthony Pastrana - Marketing Director
Anthony, our cousin and more like a brother, handles all things marketing for Joe Buys Land. With a passion for outreach and relationship-building, Anthony manages our marketing strategies, lead generation, and digital presence.
He’s responsible for ensuring we connect with landowners across the country, helping them discover the simple and caring way we do business.
Anthony is a key player in helping us build lasting connections with clients and expanding our family business nationwide.
Matt Mendez - Acquisitions Manager
Matt, Joe's brother-in-law, handles land acquisitions at Joe Buys Land. A former college football player and current coach, he brings discipline, teamwork, and determination to securing deals.
He oversees the negotiation and closing process, ensuring we help landowners smoothly sell their property while securing fair, transparent deals.
Matt works closely with Joe to evaluate properties, assess market value, and ensure that every transaction aligns with our core values of service and integrity. His focus on building relationships and finding solutions makes him key to our mission of providing a simple, stress-free selling experience.
